This is a pair of of sauce ladles, I wouldn't even like to guess where from.
I am not even sure of the initials, maybe IG.

Maurice

These marks bear a strong resemblance to John Glenny of Montrose, Scotland circa 1810-1830.

I am looking at a CD of photographs ' A Directory of Scottish Provincial Silversmiths and Their Marks' by Richard W.Turner, who is a contributor to this forum.

I am not an expert but if I owned the spoons that would be my attribution.

The mark is also recorded at the Edinburgh Assay Office http://www.incorporationofgoldsmiths.org

Your expert enough for me. Trev suggested the same attribution. And I am particularly interested in finding that site.
Thanks for pointing me to it.
They have a rather odd format, but a lot of information. One of the marks shown, combines these marks with a evidently accepted JG mark.
So these must be fairly early Glenny pieces.
