Brandy Warmer - Pittar/Pillar & Co

Post by zoner87 »

Just a quick question;

Is this Brandy Warmer actually by Pittar & Co? We have it recorded as Pillar & Co but I can find no mention of Pillar & Co in relation to Colonial Indian Silversmithing. Also, what would a good date attribution be for the piece? We currently have c 1810.

Hi,

It's Pittar & Co. Below are some links to previous topics that contain information on the Pittars:

As for the dating, we have Pittar & Co. working from 1825-1848. See: http://www.925-1000.com/AngloIndian_01.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
