The engraving on this spoon would suggest that it is Russian, but I cannot find any Russian marks such as this. Anyone help?

Paul.

Sorry, not Russian, nothing indicates Russian marking.

Hi Paul,

I suspect your spoon may be from Malta.

See: viewtopic.php?t=9017

Their hallmarks of this period were marked with either an 'F', 'R' or 'M'

See also: viewtopic.php?t=11867 for an explanation of the standards.

Hello Trev,

That looks about right. I was thinking Russian because of the engraving style, but I had never seen Russian marks like this. Malta would explain the PX initials.

Thanks

Paul
