Tea Sieve

Post by paulh »

This is a tea sieve, which is of a good gauge and well made, but although the mark is ringing bells, I cannot find it in any of my references. Can any help?

Paul.

Hi Paul,

Thats the mark of Warner Brothers an Indian silversmithing company working in the 1920's, I think I have some more info somewhere, I'll try and dig it out.

Regards Trev.

Hi Paul,

Not much to add except that Warner Brothers were based at Delhi.

I don't think this time period was covered by WW's book, at least not the first one that covers the period 1790-1860 but I may be wrong as I do not know when Warner Bros. was started, it was he however that identified a caster that I had a couple of years ago that was made by Warner Brothers, that is how I came to this attribution.
