Hi Alain,

It's very difficult to see your marks, but they do look very much like Irish silver.
Any chance of a better picture?

Hi Trev,
I took some more pictures yesterday, but none was good enough to post.
The first mark looks like "N.P",the second is "2", and the third looks like "gt", i can't make anything out of the forth one.
That "2" is on other silver that i have.I haven't figuard out yet what that means.Any idea?
Have a nice day,
Alain

Hi Alain,

The second mark to me looks like a seated Hibernia, the mark of the Dublin Goldsmiths Company, or maybe it's an illusion.

As an alternative - to me the 2nd mark illusion is the Brittania mark.
Is there any chance that the third mark could be a Harp Crowned rather than "gt", which then make Hibernia the logical mark.

Hi Dognose and Larkfield,
I took another picture. It is still not 100%, but this one is rather difficult to fotograph.
I had a look at the mark that looks like the seated Hibernia with a juwelers mag. glass,20x21 mm., and i can say that this is not the seated Hibernia.:(
Hope this pic. will help to solve the mystery!

Still hard to tell from the pics, but i doubt very much that it's irish...
