Provincial Scottish sugar sifter spoon?

Post by Granmaa »

Thankyou Tom for getting the site up and running again; its absence has shown me how very valuable it is.

Here is a sugar sifter spoon made in Scotland around 1810 I would say; I don't know who RG is and would be interested to know where in Scotland he worked.

Maybe Robert Gray of Glasgow? He also had his mark entered at Edinburgh. I think the name changed to Robert Gray & Son sometime during the first quarter of the 19th century.
