Is he the G. Thomson found on cutlery assayed in Glasgow in 1824-1842?

Hi Niceguy,

He may be. The distance from Kilmarnock to Glasgow is only about 20 miles, so Glasgow would be the likely assay office of choice for him. However, the records of the Glasgow Assay Office are incomplete, so we cannot be 100% certain that we are talking about the same man.

Perhaps another member may know more.
