Help With Demitasse Spoon Maker

Post by Spencer08 »

Hello

I'm new to the forum and am hoping someone can help with the hallmarks on a set of demitasse spoons. In looking at the information on the site I think I have three of the marks: a standard mark (.925), Sheffield, and 1897 as the year. If I've got any of that wrong, please let me know. What I haven't been able to find is the maker, which I assume is the "G.W" mark. From another site it seems it could be George Wish; George Wish Ltd. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Yes this is the mark of George Wish. He converted his business to George Wish & Co Ltd in 1914.
