Sheffield piece - see pics&marks pls - authentic?
I think is a Sheffield piece from 1918 but as I`m not a connoisseur I ask here for a helping hand...
Dimensions 11x7x2.5 inches around 21oz weight

Thank you in advance.

Sorry Sir
I saw now the value rule, I apologize.
Anyway I want marks discussed becouse after I checked online seems to me to be something which need expertise: the maker mark isn`t as usual in front of town mark... and that B from right (being marker mark?) I couldn`t find it anywhere...
Thank you for your pacience.

The marks look similar.

Hello

»How-now« in Peoples Republic of China - the not so new upcoming reality for lovers of Antique items.
Kind regards silverport

So...
Checked all posts...from 2005 till present day.; even unanswered ones...
Plus a lot of sites...No luck :(
I asume is a forged electroplated piece... or (taking into account even the 2 years older post) a "product" of same greedy hand which had/have this series of punchs and used on that piece.
BTW: The guy which tried to sold it to me have a lot of italian silverware too (modern one, classic 800 + nr.of maker&province initials - and I saw just one piece from before 1945 (with fascies in hallmark). Just some info for you dear fellows, may be in help sometime.
PS: The piece in photo is also curiously tick: about 0.2 inch.
All the best

Hi Adrian,
Welcome to the Forum.
As you can see, we're all a bit stumped on this one. As Silverport suggests, the marks do appear to be pseudo. However, this does not necessarily mean that the piece is plated or made of sub-standard silver, although that may be the case.
Hopefully, over time and because of posts such as yours, more information on this particular set of marks will come to light.
Regards Trev.

Thank you for welcome msg.
I don`t have knowledge about siverware ... not till this one to be true :) but I`m logic and (I assume LOL) at least as smart as the next guy on planet ... this is a forgery, lion and date punch look real but the crown say all... my common sense opinion.
Plus no maker sign, plus tickness... too many "unusual" touches...

THE "B" COULD ALSO BE FOR BRITANNIA?
