Hi,
I don't know if this a scarce item or not but would like to share it.
The tongs have both George Murray registered marks on these tongs, one on each arm.
Possibly an apprentice mixing up the stamps ?

Hi Robert,

Thanks for posting this unusual example. Both marks appear to have been registered in 1805, I wonder if the oblong example was reserved for larger items and struck in error, by, as you suggest, a sidetracked apprentice.
