from the hallmark, am I reading it correctly as being William Neale, Chester 1904? there is also a reg mark alongside 431632. Don't understand why it's there cus isn't the the letter supposed to date it the piece? Can anyone enlighten me. Thanks

It's probably the pattern/design registration number. However, the design/pattern could have been registered years before and not necessarily when the piece was assayed. Who knows maybe there was some issues over the design when it came onto the market??
