Similar combination guild mark/date letter appears here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32028&p=107190&hili ... wn#p107190

Not conclusive.

So they might be Dutch marks. Thank you very much. Is it alright to repost in the Dutch section or should I ask a moderator to move it?

Hi,

Yes, Dutch and town mark of Middelburg,a double-headed crowned, year letter L, used around 1776. Maker's mark unclear but it might be in the book Zeeuws Zilver J. de Bree. Unfortunately at the moment till next week, no access to my library .

Peter.
