Silver commemorative/gift spoon with decorative finial.

Cast spoon, great quality made in Amsterdam, the (hall)marks are located right side of the spoon's rat tail and not often seen. Both sides of the spoon's stem are well worked and decorated.
Clock wise; Amsterdam year letter N for 1747. The three Andreas crosses, the town guild mark Amsterdam.The lion rampant in in crowned shield, standard mark for the province of Holland to indicate 1st standard (grote keur) silver .934 fineness. The maker's mark a fish for; Andries Vis registered in Amsterdam 1741-1799
Andries Vis born in Amsterdam 1722, became silversmith in 1741, died in Amsterdam 1799. Well known maker of cast spoons.
