Good day
I have bought this silver cigarette tin today. It seems to be from Birmingham 1912-1913. Could this be by Henry Matthews ? The box is engraved "TO Capt. F.D. Berry from MEDICAL STAFF N. L CAMP JACOBS 19.9.17" Any information about the ingraving will be welcome? Struggling to find any information.
Thank you
Jannie

Definitely Henry Matthews, but that's the easy bit. Good luck with finding Captain Berry!

One on-line seller has a page from Graphic weekly during 1916 and mentions Camp Jacobs in the title...somehow prisoner of war related. Cannot read the text in the sole image to confirm anything. Not getting any other hits for this camp name.
