Pig Pincushion

Good evening
I have bought this Pig Pincushion online. It bares the Birmingham date letter for 1905-06. The makers mark is worn and I can only make out & S. Could it be made by Levi & Salaman? Saw similar pigs by them online. It is filled by a brownish felt like substance. It seems to had a rough life. Will it be worth getting it restored or are the piece not that rare?

Have a good evening
Jannie

Hi,
It is less common type with individual pin holes rather than the usual open top with velvet pad.
The maker is difficult to identify with the first letter missing.
Professional repair is possible from inside with vibrating ball tip tool fixed in vice.
Regards

Morning
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully our local jeweler are good enough to fix it. I know he do time to time fix silver.
This pig is exactly the same as one by Levi & Salaman that was made a year earlier, I believe it's most likely by them.

Right, almost every Edwardian pin cushion on internet was made by Levi & Salaman and there is perfect match ‚‚L & S‚‚
