Help identifying maker's mark

Post by Lou1955 »

This gravy boat has the marks for sterling, 1784, and London, but I cannot find the maker IW in the form as seen here and from that period. I've included a picture of the crest (which I believe is that of the Graham clan) on the front of the boat. Thanks.

This mark does not seem to have been recorded by Grimwade so it is possible that it was registered in the now-lost 1758-1773 Largeworkers' Register and that we will not be able to identify it. Unless of course anybody else has any ideas......
