The repoussage of this George II mug has been added later, during the reign of Queen Victoria, the mug has been "Victorianized".

Not on this item, but in others I've seen it looks like they added a layer of pre-chased/embossed sheet of silver...did they ever do that?? If I remember correct the inside is then still plane.
