London Coffeepot with makers mark BH

Post by paulpat »

Does anyone know who this maker is? I believe it is London 1865 if I read the date letter correctly.
Thank you.

London 1875-6 but no idea who the maker is. Best wishes, Mike.

If the mark is Image
it would be Henry Holland.

Thank you all for the help. Upon closer inspection of the finial nut and handle I have determined that the mark is actually RH. Still don't know who it was. The style seems a little late for 1875, though. It looks more like early 19th Century but the date stamp, of course, says different.

A possibility for the main mark, then, could be Robert Harper. This would fit with the initials in the secondary marks?
