1955 Swedish Cake Server Engraved Scenes

Post by Traintime »

Sorry for picture quality..gold tone is highly reflective and wanted to show detail. Understood the Katz Paw (Sweden), National Standard S (.830), and date code H9 (1955). First mark is BO (town?). Second mark (maker) appears to be I or J in Olde English style font. Your knowledge of the marks is always appreciated.

Hi,
City mark: Stylized Gothic letter L in circle stands for Luleå
BO is maker`s mark: Bror Onnela
The company was in Haparanda from 1938-1946, then listed in Vittangi from 1947-1949 and finally in Luleå from 1950-1980.

Quite right..I listed my marks backwards. (Too excited..had dismissed it months ago as nice plate, but re-cleaned marks this morning & revealed cat's paw and silver standard.) Many thanks for the identities. Best regards as always.
