I have these two spoons, but I have no idea if they are coin silver, 800, or 830. Can anybody identify them?
Please help identify these spoons (H.IMSLAND ?)

Re: Please help identify these spoons (H.IMSLAND ?)
Searching, searching...and I found Edvard Christian Imsland who lived 1811-1868 in Stavanger, Norway. Unfortunately the initials on the spoons are not the same. Edvard Christian seems to be an a bit "unclear" master. It is assumed that he presented his master piece in 1833 but it cannot be verified in the books. It is also "assumed" that his working period would have been 1838- 1860/65 but that cannot either be verified. He is not found in the town registers of 1865. Anyway, he is known to have died 7.8.1868 and was called goldsmith, so...?
What is indeed interesting is that around 1880 a company called T.H. IMSLAND was active in Stavanger. Not much is known about this company. Do I see T.H. IMSLAND or what on your spoons?
Sorry, that's all I found.

The spoons on the 2008 thread referenced are marked 'Th.I.' and 'Th.IMSLAND' - these are marked 'H.I.' and 'H.IMSLAND'...

Qrt.S, thank you for the information. I really appreciate your research.
dragonflywink, I didn't notice my spoons have upside down "H. I." I thought they are "TH."
Well, it is still a mystery to me.
