Please help identifying hallmarks

Post by ratecla »

Hi! I just found these Russian spoons but can't find anything about the hallmark. I think it reads Ю.МАИКАПА.
Could you share anything you might know about it, perhaps its creator, or date and place of origin?

Thank you

Hello, ratecla!

I opened and embeded your images.
This spoon was made in Moscow in 1899-1908, and then was sold in Kiev. The maker is Nikolay Pavlov (Николай Павлов) from Moscow, the seller is Yufuda Maykapar (Юфуда Майкапар) from Kiev. "ИЛ" are the initials of Moscow assayer Ivan Lebedkin (Иван Лебедкин).

Regards!
