Re: St.Petersburg maker's mark?
Artamonov is one possibility, there are some other alternatives....Averbach, Andersson, Amberg and Asotov. All working in St Peterburg about the same time...
This troinik hallmark (КЛЕЙМО ЛОПАТКИ) is often punched on small objects among those on spoons. What is a bit strange here is undoubtedly the angle of alfa, but???

Re: St.Petersburg maker's mark?
Hi -
The shown mark was in use from 1908-1926 - Artamonov A. (a spoon maker) worked until 1908. So everything looks right on the first glance.
My opinion: the marks looks "strange", the spoon (bowl) is differently shaped - and the rest is very crude. Last but not least: I know this spoons only as fakes....

Goldstein

Hi,
Goldstein is right.
From a Russian forum:
Tea spoon ``Bear on the tree`` 84
40 g. 15 cm
There must be a genuine one somewhere; I doubt they sculptured it - much easier to cast from already existing model.
