A relative of mine came possession of this item and we're having a little trouble identifying it. Neither of us has been able to find the maker of this thing. To me it looks like the stamp is either "JmC", "JnC", or "JwC" to my untrained eyes.. If anyone can provide any information it would be greatly appreciated!

Take a look here for СиK

СиK mark was identified being a trading house, examples for СиГ shown by Goldstein (and yours) are unidentified.Average niello quality for tourists.
I suspected letter ``и`` in cursive was not a middle name of the maker but ``and``.
Therefore,СиГ could also be a joint enterprise (two silversmiths) , or another trading house. Those niello souvenirs from Caucasus were very popular and widely distributed even outside Kiev and Caucasus region.

Re: Russian Niello Belt
Interesting, did "Степанов и Красильников" have a subsidiary in Kiev. In the link the kokshnik has Moscow's delta? Does anybody know?
Re: Russian Niello Belt
"Степанов и Красильников" always with delta and mentioned in Skurlov as Moscow trader, as well in Ulyanova G.N.( Ульянова Г.Н.) ``Shops in Red Square XIX - beginning XX century.``
СиГ is with Kiev ``nu``.
I have no clue for СиГ in Kiev but its assay office covered vast territory.
