Single spoon russian or soviet?

Post by Jag »

I had a lot of trouble taking pictures of these marks; maybe someone could advise how to clean the piece to try to make the marks easier to see? Looking for date, etc. I assume this is russian/soviet, though not marked with the more typical 84 etc, since it was mixed with a bunch of Soviet silver-plate, but I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong :)

Soviet silver 875/1000 Moscow 1927-1958. The rest is mission impossible with that photo.

Here's a better picture of the mark after cleaning with a damp toothpick. Is this enough to go on?

Yes, but unfortunately I have no idea who that might be. Let's wait and hope that somebody else knows.
