Informations about spoon.

Post by huszas76 »

Hello Everyone!

I bought this spoon.
I'm not so familiar with the russian marks. I tried to find here, but it was a failure for me.
I would like to know, who made, and where. I hope, someone can help.

I know the AV mark in the left, the austro-hungarian import hallmark for silverware (1872-1902). The F shows the Lemberg (Lvov) assay office's controll mark.
Thank you for the answers and best regards!

Hi huszas76 -
your spoon was made in Moscow between 1896 and 1908 by the wellknown spoonmaker (umong other things...) Aleksandrow, Michail (1883-1908).

Hi.

I think , here we see later punch over oldest punch (1882-1899). I showed the remains of old punch at drawing. Maybe it was (repunching) in time the export to Austria.
The first - dvoynik in oval (1882-1899).
The second - fineness (84) and "head in oval" (1899-1908)
