Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on a makers mark which I cannot identify... to me it looks like ИЦ but I can't find such a mark. Does anyone have it in their sources?

Unknown Makers Mark 1
Re: Unknown Makers Mark 1
Hi piette -
while examining marks, specially Russian marks, it is wise to turn the maker´s mark upside down - because it very often is not in line with the assayer/townmark. I mentioned that several times (by observation of thousand marks) - but several people think that it is not important. Back to reality: if you turn the mark you read ПИ, the mark of wellknown Iwanowa Pelageja Efimowna (1899-1908) a spoonmaker.

Hi Zolotnik,
Genius! I am aware of the upside down marks on some items but hadn't thought of that this time! Thank you once again! :-)
