Need help with maker's mark

Post by kustakv »

I have two sugar tongs. They have the same maker's marks. I am posting the tongs and the marks here. I hope that someone can identify the marks. Thanks.

Hi kustakv -

the only mark in a triangel from Moscow I ever have seen is EK - unfortunately complete unknown. The maker made some nice quality objects - I own several of them - cigarette cases, suggar tongs etc. The mark shows in no sources up. I enclose 2 from my collection.

Your marks are hard to read and look overstruck. One has to look very close.

Hi Dad -

there is a certain similarity with the shown mark - but the enamel quality is in no way from Khlebnikov! He was famous for his workmanship.

Are the by you shown marks authentic? I never have seen them in natura or in books.

Here is another Khlebnikov mark in a triangle. And I saw yet another one on internet but cannot find it now.

But I think my marks look different.

Hi all -

in auction houses the new collection of fakes show up:

Sugar tongs, enamel, all looking more or less the same - only famous names - the shown made by 11th Artel (originals look total diferent!)

Please compare the text with what you see...

Enamel spoon - only famous names - the shown made by Khlebnikov (originals look total different!)

And here again the "new" unknown mark
