Post by rezauzivo »

Hi all,

I'm trying to find out something about the origin of this cigarette case. Can anyone help me?

Kindly take a sharper and bigger photo of the marks. This is too blurred. In order to say something I need to see the initials in the assay and in general a much better picture.

Hi, All.
Very bad work. The artist tried to draw the "Troyka" (sledge + three horses). But has drawn only two horses.))))
Show the second brand, please.

Best Reg..

Any suggestions?

Yes, your cigarette case is of more than dubious origin. You could also say spurious. There is no such master, the kokshnik is wrong and and and... And as Dad says the "troika" triple horse sleigh has only two horses ???? Nobody in former Russia would make such a mistake, nobody!

Mind my asking but I forgot to ask in my first insert that is there any other marks? If yes, where?

Sorry my good man, but...

OK, thanks but that's a "scratch mark" and has nothing to do with the official hallmarking. With "marks" I meant punched marks.

Two markings like I said, one on each side. They look identical.

No reason to laugh at least not laud. In your case I would cry, especially if a bought it. It's is a spurious object.

No reason to cry , it was sitting in the attic :)

If I manage to get sharper pictures of the marks I'll let you know.

Anyway thanks for the quick replies.
