The jewelry store of L. S. Knowlton, Leamington, Ont., which was robbed on Sunday, Nov. 23, when the window was broken from outside, was again visited by burglars Sunday morning, Dec. 14, who resorted to the same method, breaking in the other end of the window. They secured the entire contents of the window. consisting of clocks, watches and high-class jewelry. A night watchman arrived in time to see two men escaping, but did not get near enough to identify them.

Obituaries
Ernest Walker Ross, pioneer in the jewelry trade in North Bay, Ontario, died July 23rd. Mr. Ross settled in North Bay in 1888 and opened the first jewelry business there. In 1927, his son-in-law, T. M. Palmer, now mayor of North Bay, took over the business.

The Forstner Chain Corporation with plants at Irvington and Union, New Jersey, U.S.A., has purchased the Canadian Sturdy Chain Co., Ltd., Sherbrooke, Quebec. The Canadian plant will be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Forstner Chain Corporation with A. W. Follett, former manager of the Canadian Sturdy Chain Co., continuing as manager for the new owners.
The plant at Sherbrooke, which now employs 150 people, will be enlarged and modernized with the newest equipment and machines for the manufacture of fine quality Genuine Forstner Snake Chain, Forstner Komfit Watch Bands and other Forstner Jewelry items, in addition to the distinctive Canadian Sturdy products.
