GEORGE WOOLSON & Co.

Queen Street West, Toronto


The bankrupt stock of R. Jorgenson, retail jeweler, Toronto, has been sold by A. C. Anderson & Co. on behalf of the creditors to George Woolson & Co., jewelers, Queen St. W., for $3,000, which will realize about 40 cents on the dollar.

On Wednesday the 11th inst, the bankrupt stock of George Woolson & Co., Toronto, valued at $1,563. was sold at auction to George Meir, for 23½ cents on the dollar.

BOWEN BROTHERS & Co.

Quebec


Bowen Bros. & Co., jewelers, Quebec, have assigned. The firm offered 20 cents on the dollar cash, but it was not accepted. W. A. Caldwell, of Montreal, was appointed curator to the estate, and the stock has been advertised to be sold by auction June 5th.

O’Leary, Prince Edward Island


Adams’ jewelry store, O’Leary, Prince county, Prince Edwards Island, and all its contents, were destroyed by fire Sunday morning last. A defective flue was the cause.

SIMEON ERNEST

Bridgewater, Nova Scotia


Among the sufferers by the recent heavy conflagration at Bridgewater, N. S., which destroyed the entire business portion of this most thriving town, was Simeon Ernest, jeweler. He lost his store and its contents and also his dwelling. He had but little insurance.
