AURELIO SANDONA'
Aurelio Sandonà Argenterie
Contra' Porti 38
Vicenza
Italia
Italian Registration No.: 29 VI (assigned 14-7-1935)

Manufacturer of Silverware made by traditional methods. This firm was established in Vicenca in 1880 by Gio Batta Sandonà . Prior to the founding of the silversmithing business, Gio Batta Sandonà was a Coppersmith who made copper buckets, but following improvements in the aquaduct system, there was no longer a demand for his products and he converted to the art of the Silversmith. The business later passed to his son, Aurelio, who was known to employ 30 workers at his manufactory. When the business passed to the third generation, somewhat of a divison occured, with Aurelio's daughters controling the Vicenza workshops, and Aurelio's son, Aurelio jnr. opening a new workshop in Treviso. Since 1995 the firm of Bruno Vitali has been supplying silverware to this business, and in 2007, following the retirement of Laura Sandonà , the company was acquired by the firm of Bruno Vitali.
The 29 VI mark is now retired, as under Italian law the assigned mark can only be used in the location where the goods are produced.
