This topic has been viewed many times since the posting. Still no photos from anyone. If you have this mark MMA (or MOMA) on silver objects, please share a view for the record. You won't find this in the American Initials section as these are probably recent era commission marks (i.e retailer) rather than actual makers. Since this site is for sharing info. and I can't absorb all the lost treasures of the world, here's what is a not-so-secret tidbit. Metropolitan Museum of Art and/or Museum of Modern Art use intials on a wide range of items produced for sale by them. Since there have been special commissions in silver, it is possible that such a marking came from one of them. Photos are a must to get a definite answer. Please post some if you've got a marked piece.
