I think what you have is commonly called "Black Hills Gold" and it came into existence around 1876 after gold was discovered in The Black Hills of South Dakota....

There are many jewelers who work with Black Hills Gold and make rings and other gold items, so I am thinking you have a ring with the hallmark of a Jeweler who works with Black Hills Gold.
