Anyone recognize this "J Morub" signature, likely Native American

Post by atomicpop »

Hi. I've been researching this watch cuff and guessing at the signature but haven't had any luck so far. It came from estate set of pieces, the rest of which are definitely Native American (all Nelvin Chee pieces). I believe this one to be Native American as well. Pretty clear that's it's 12K gold filled over sterling but the artist's name eludes me. Both ends of the cuff are very similar and the stretch band in between is an older Speidel.

If anyone recognizes or can discern the name, or offer a better guess than "J Morub", I'd appreciate your assistance. Cheers! Patrick

A belated welcome to the forum. If you haven't already made an identification, I think if you search J Morris or Justin Morris you will find pieces similar to yours. He is identified as a Navajo Silversmith.

Agree with Silverly - I read that signature as "J Morris".
