Need help identifying bear paw medallion, hallmark K. J.

I found this medallion in my deceased Great Aunt's jewelry. She lived in South Dakota, and didn't get out much, so the necklace is likely to be at least 30 years old, most likely more. I've searched for the hallmark, but can't find it ANYWHERE. any ideas?
