Fat H stamp on bolo ties ??

Post by NormanBolo »

I have more than a dozen very early bolo ties (late 1940's - early 1950's?) all stamped with the same "Fat H" stamp. That is my name for it. It is not in Barton Wright's Hallmarks book, as far as I can see. The orientation with the stamp 'Sterling' suggest that it is like a 'H Bar' brand, rather than rotating it and trying to make in into something else. I have done extensive research on early bolos with no success for this. Some people think it MIGHT be Anglo rather than Navajo, but there is no consensus.
Yes, I know the shapes of the two bolos do not match, but the stamp on the other one is identical.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
