B&s co?

Post by Iggychic »

I am helping a charity identify a donation from an estate. I don't know much about silver, or plate, though I have enough to know when a piece is interesting.

I have a little teapot. It appears to have the markings B in one side if a figure eight & above the Center, S below Center and co (though I only really clearly see the o) in the other side of the mark.

Below is a 4

Scratched in is below a 9757

And again more clearly marked is 8474 (the 8 is lighter than the rest). It has a bone (Ivory) break in the handle and on the top. I think bone over Ivory due to the veining (not tight).

Super thick, a clumsy but charming piece. It came from a fairly wealthy estate. Any ideas????
