Coin Silver Vase Maker ID Help

Post by andrewshane »

I recently acquired this beautiful silver vase. I've exhausted all of my reference material and spent quite a bit of time online and cannot find the maker. I believe it is American coin silver, but of course since I've hit a dead end on identification, I'm beginning to wonder. Can anyone shed some light on it for me? Measures 9 3/4" tall and weighs 21 oz. It is hammered and not spun. The HG in the cartouche is the only mark on the piece. I apologize if it is on the wrong board. I just wasn't sure where to post since I'm not certain of origin.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Shane
