ID request-Coin Silver Serving Spoons-Applied bowls.

Post by WeGotJewels »

Good Afternoon,

I do not know anything about silver but I searched online and I think these are pre-1860 Coin silver.

According to eHow:
"Until the 1700s, the stem and the bowl were fashioned separately and then soldered together, says Stephen Helliwell in his book “Small Silver Tableware.” From the 1700s onwards, spoons were stamped and shaped from a single piece of metal. Therefore a spoon made in two pieces in likely to be very early indeed."

The hallmarks are baffling and not dechipherable to me.

Any hints as to age - maker - origin - would be appreciated.
