Canadian brooches

I have two Canadian brooches, both in the shape of a maple leaf. One has STER and a hallmark, but as it is behind the pin, I cannot see it properly. The other has IOK followed by a circle with an L in it with a line over the letter and two small dots on either side. I know nothing about jewellery, and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the matter.
