Gold Wrist Watch -Hallmarks Russian, Polish?

Post by pauline5555 »

Have an old watch with European hallmarks. It is rose gold. There are five hallmarks some double. One is profile head with a 3. The other looks like just a head maybe. Last one is FW maybe makers mark. Wondering if it's Russian. Also does anyone know age or karat from hallmarks. Thanks

Hi Pauline,

I believe your watch is hallmarked for Warsaw, Poland. The Third standard 583/1000 and the date would be 1920-1931.

My reference is printed in German, and I'm a non-german speaker, there is some more info, I'll try to get it translated.

Regards Trev.

Hi
Yes thanks, I was thinking maybe it was. I checked out gold Polish hallmarks but I thought the head was facing the wrong way.
If you find out anything else that would be great. I am assuming it's close to 14K.

Thanks
