Maker's mark looks like uppercase E and uppercase I (EI). Cannot identify. Anyone?

Unfortunately there are no comprehensive published references to makers' marks of this period so we may not be able to help you directly. The London Assay Office at Goldsmiths Hall will of course have full records of mark registrations so contacting them may be your only hope of getting an identification.
