Hi, I wonder if any one could give me an idea where this large chain is from. Unfortunately the marks are really small but consist of a bird head looking to the side with 835 in numbers underneath, and I'm not sure what the other one is. Have tried to magnify but they are really small. Cheers. Gary

Hi Gary,

The marks appear to be Portuguese.

If you can post a larger close-up of the mark we may be able to tell you more.

Hi,
Looks like Porto Assay Office mark: Eagle head silver hallmark.
Currently used. The number indicated the fineness Head to the right, .835 or lower.

Thank you so much. I will try to get some better shots; although the chain is large, the marks are so small. Thanks again for all your help, gary
