Postby Smokanabeach » Mon Jul 29, 2019 5:48 am

Hi All,

bellow is a mark I found on several objects (E+eagle+T):

In this case, it is on a oil & vinegar set, couple with the mark bellow (12):

Thanks for your help.

Perhaps just to clarify...in each case both marks appear on the item, or a case of similar items having one mark or the other only?

Hello Traintime!

The oil and vinager set is in one part. The marks "12" is under the first receptacle and the "E"+"Eagle"+"T" on the second one, not together under each part. Would you think about a german or austrian work if they were both together under each part?

Let's link the standard fare on plate numbers: https://www.925-1000.com/a_platenumbers.html

So, France or French-influenced might need consideration. Mark ref.: Twelve (12) boxed or in a square. EeagleT in a rectangle.

I think so... 12 for 12G of silver... But what is surprising is I see this mark several times without knowing its origin, and about its silversmith whereas the hallmark is really identificable... Anyway, another unknown hallmark! I'm strong in finding unknown stuff ;-))) Thanks for your time Traintime.
