Pre-DATED Sheffield ? We have 2 Candle sticks, round based with the only a mark of a CROWN and no other marks. None. Can anyone tell us more about what this could mean ? They have been in our family for a century+. Thank you all for a response or information.

I have this ONE mark on my candle sticks - silver on copper,
What could this mean as to vintage or maker ?
Can you see this pic ? Sorry, I am a newbie at forum.

Since this is a remnant of a mark, it's a tough match. To me, looks close to style of crown mark used by Crown Silver Plate Company of Toronto, an early century company.
