New here with a hallmark question

Post by houligan »

I recently purchased this samovar and it appears to have a hallmark of some kind on the tea pot bottom, I will try to attach pics of it as well as the other markings on the base...can anyone help me identify the country of origin, and let me know if this is silver, so some other precious metal...it is not magnetic and is gold plated on the outside surfaces. I am new here and have no idea how to post a pic, can someone help me with that too? the hallmark looks like a turkey or grouse but is kind of primitive even though it was made in 1992. I think this may have been made in Russia...I may not be welcome here, I have no idea where to start...
Thanks
Steven
