These marks are a mystery to me
These marks are a mystery to me
I am posting on the American board because I am guessing it is most likely that these spoons come from the USA (or possibly Canada). All the marks are worn, so identifying them is especially difficult. https://plus.google.com/photos/11185131 ... 8993722305

Re: These marks are a mystery to me
I tried to attach pictures of complete items, but I kept getting an error message saying image could only be 1000 pixels wide.
Anyway, I hope this image is more helpful.
Thanks

Re: These marks are a mystery to me
Believe that's Joseph Wolstenholme of Sheffield, England - mid 19th century electroplate or nickel silver...

Thanks, Cheryl. I looked up the name you gave at this site
http://www.silvercollection.it/electrop ... WZdue.html
Some of the images on the spoons are on different marks used by Wolstenholme. I am curious about the first (far left) symbol, and whether there is a particular symbol that indicates it is plated. I have seen EPNS and BP in other examples.
Regards
Bruce
