Silver Chamberstick Maker Identification

Post by shapiroj68 »

I have a Silver Chamberstick with an 800 Purity mark inside of an open oval. The '800' is very stylized. The Makers Mark 176 F is inside a diamond shaped lozenge with the sides cut off. I cannot make out the symbol but it appears to be a rendition of Minerva, I think they are possibly Italian in origin. Any help in identifying these marks is appreciated.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
The mark is probably 176 FI.

If so,the maker is from Florence, Italy.
PAMPALONI ERMINDO di PAMPALONI FRANCO Via del Gelsomino, 99 FIRENZE

The mark is used 1944 - 1968.
