Help Identifying Hallmark Canadian?

I was wondering if any one can ID this hallmark, can't find anywhere
The first hallmark appears to be Canada?
Its not a very clean stamping it appears to overlap and double stamped

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Really not sure, but part of the mark looks like Lipman Brothers. See: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... man#p85587

Hi Thanks for your welcome
I have been using this site for quite awhile now for reference and never had to post
The first part I believe it to be the Canadian National Mark however not a very crisp stamp
The pound Sterling stamp is stumping me more than anything

I wondered the same Cheryl, that edge looks a bit wonky to me.

Hi all
Yes its marked "Sterling Handle"
Its a Pie Lifter
The peeling is not obviously sterling, that is the silverplate part of the shaft that makes up part of the lifter

My eyesight is pretty poor anymore, but looks to me like the mark is either overstamped or double-struck, and I can't really make it out. If you show the handle, might be able to determine the manufacturer by pattern...

Hi all
Mystery solved thanks to Cheryl pushing me in the direction of known silver patterns
the pattern is Carthage by Wallace USA not sure on the year as it does not have the Pat 1917 stamp on it
Thanks for your help
