Stuffing Spoon Mystery!

Just acquired a 12" stuffing spoon. Haven't worked out the photos yet, but here is what I know: the marks on the spoon are, from left to right:
- an "A" on its side (there is an inch gap between the "A" and the grouping of subsequent five markings described following)
- a scripted "e" (or crescent moon) w/ letter sitting in it
- a scripted "m"
- an "&" followed by crescent moon w/ letter in it and superscripted "o"
- an "R"
- "E&C" underneath an undiscernible mark, all within a shield shape.

any clues, thoughts, hints would be most appreciated!
